    Muskoka Lakes Museum

    Located on a scenic Island Park, Muskoka Lakes Museum showcases the history and culture of the Muskoka Lakes area. Permanent exhibits include the Hall Family Homestead which depicts the life of an early pioneer, and the Marine Room which reveals the history of the wooden boat building industry in Muskoka.     Bethune Memorial House
    Norman Bethune was born in Gravenhurst in 1890. His life was dedicated to improving and advancing the medical world. He researched tuberculosis extensively and also invented a mobile blood transfusion service, among other things. The Bethune Memorial House was his birthplace: the ground floor has been restored to circa 1890, while the second floor features exhibits detailing Bethune's life.

    The Tree Museum

    Beaver River Museum
    Transporting visitors back to the first days of Beaverton, the Beaver River Museum features the Old Stone Jail, a settler's log cabin and brick house, built between 1840 and 1900. The museum is open from the May Victoria Day Weekend to the end of September, daily (except Tuesdays) in July and August, and on weekends during May, June and September.
