Port Carling is found along Highway 118 on Indian River, which touches the shores of Silver Lake and Mirror Lake and is situated between Lake Muskoka and Lake Rosseau. Visitors will find Port Carling centrally located between the towns of Bracebridge and Bala. Both visitors and locals alike enjoy the easy accessibility to these area lakes including Lake Joseph. Plenty of outdoor recreational opportunities can be enjoyed at all of these lakes. The Muskoka Lakes Museum promotes the history and culture of the Muskoka Lakes region.
